Schedule of Events
Registration is open for Tribal Crisis Response Training Webinars.
The National Indian Justice Center, through funding from California’s Office of Emergency Services, has developed a training curriculum that helps tribes develop tribal crisis response teams and engages local, state, and national resources to respond to crises in tribal communities.
NIJC will be conducting monthly webinars providing an overview of the curriculum project and key concepts that will support efforts to work with tribal communities.

APRIL WEBINAR: Developing a TCR-Suicide Response MDTs

MAY WEBINAR: Focus on Trafficking & Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People (MMIWG2) in Tribal Crisis Response
At the end of this learning module, participants will be able to:
- Comprehending the impacts of Historical Trauma, Intergenerational Trauma, and PTSR/PTSD in human trafficking crises and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People (MMIWG2) during Tribal Crisis Response
- To increase awareness of human trafficking and MMIWG2 crises and provide resources to tribal and community members on tribal lands and urban AI/AN communities when faced with these crises.
- To increase advocacy for taking preventative actions to reduce the rates of trafficking and MMIWG2, advocating for better support for victims and families, and building tribal capacity to take proactive leadership in these crises.
- To increase a community response by establishing a multidisciplinary Tribal Crisis Response Team to respond to human trafficking and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and two-spirited people crises in Tribal communities.
